Well...as the title says, I'm back. Sort of. This page will be, as I originally intended, a sort of online storage space for the incoherent scrabblings that serve as my excuse for writing. I've got a few things lined up to post, but they'll be a little different in content for reasons I'll go into...now, why not.

Item the first, I've left WoW. For good. Not because of drama, or people, or frustration, or any particularly lousy WSG. I'm not really the type to /ragequit. I'd been playing since beta, and I simply stopped having fun. I couldn't find anything attention-grabbing about it anymore, so I gave the final heave-ho to my account and bid Azeroth a fond farewell. I have good memories of this game, but I don't see myself coming back anytime soon. This means Donovan will probably remain largely a mystery, which kinda fits him. He never seemed the type to want his full story told. He preferred to burn things.

Item the second, I've had an...interesting couple of years since leaving. I've gotten some odd experiences and some weird stories out of the deal. I have had brushes with Michael Bay-style fiery death, I've been both the richest and the poorest I've ever been in my life, and I've gathered a handful of romantic misadventures (since the breakup) that...kinda border on hilarious but intensely creepy at the same time. But I think it was Garrison Keilor that said "There's no such thing as bad experiences, just good material." I intend to shift the inspiration of my stories from WoW to real life, at least in terms of the content. I want to stick to mystery, but it'll gradually become more modern in setting. Maybe.

Item the third, I return here with no ill feelings. I'm aiming to make this page a place to store my rantings and scribblings and get feedback, in the interests of advancing as a writer. With Eduardo here as my witness (that bit was only half-fiction, there actually is a jumping spider perched above the screen staring at me as I write) I plan to make this a sort of new start.

And with that, I sign off for now. I'll update again at a later date...and God, does it feel good to actually be writing again. I've got a lot inspiring me.
